I confess that I have used the Business/Government White Pages to get the phone number of the local ten-pin bowling centre. Easier than booting up the PC (or getting the kids off it).
I fully agree with dumping the concept of the residential white pages. I suppose there may be the odd occasion where someone knows the name and address of some-one but not the phone number and actually wants to ring them. Assuming they have a land-line and live in the same city. But then I'd bet nine out of ten of those are stalkers.

No there isn't, at least not to my knowledge.

Instead, there's a Sensis opt-out line where you can register to not receive printed phone books and then have one delivered to your door next year anyway.

Which is another way of saying that I have never heard of anyone who has successfully opted out of phone book delivery.

Yes there is a way to tell them.

However, that doesn't mean they will listen.
