Greetings, tree huggers
Greetings, tree huggers.
This is my first entry in a blog, so be gentle.
I'm trying to think of something witty and entertaining to write but am coming up a little short.
I should be commenting on the events of the day, or even on what is happening in my little world, but I think I will save that for another day.
I'll just try and explain the rather lame comment on the front page of this website. For those who haven't seen it yet it is;
"Other organisations may provide you with half baked solutions, but we cover the full kitchen."
This refers to the quality of solutions which this organisation (well, me) delivers. A wise person I worked with once had an email footer which said "Long Think, Short Do". I've embraced and extended that concept into "Short Think, Even Shorter Do". You will see what I mean when I start posting code up on this site.
The whole 'half cooked' theme is to try and remind me that I should do things properly. If I go off 'half cooked' the results will not be as good as they could be. Its a reminder to me that I should always strive to do my best.
Blimey, that is a bit more serious than I thought it would be. Maybe I should finish with a joke ...
A group of chess enthusiasts checked into a hotel and were standing in the lobby discussing their recent tournament victories. After about an hour, the manager came out of the office and asked them to disperse. "But why?" they asked, as they moved off. "Because," he said, "I can't stand chess nuts boasting in an open foyer."
I thank you.
